iPhone 8 Plus
Release Date
On the 22nd September 2018, the iPhone 8 Plus came out in Australia and other places across the world. A Phablet in size like the iPhone 7 Plus, the design was like the previous model but with wireless charging ability thanks to the new glass backing. Processing speed had improvements on the iPhone 8 Plus compared to the iPhone 7 Plus, and the camera saw a significant upgrade.
Features
The iPhone 8 Plus has a Retina HD display with True Tone technology. True Tone technology keeps the screen with the correct lighting for any situation automatically. Despite the display not being HDR-ready, the device can play HDR 10 and Dolby Vision by down-converting the content. Enhancements in the video and images on display are there, so users do not miss out on the full experience that comes with HDR.
The glass is dual-ion exchange-strengthened, and there is 3D Touch there in addition to the usual iPhone features. Taking photos is better on the iPhone 8 Plus with the depth of field and lighting effects improved upon from the iPhone 7 Plus.
Specifications
The system-on-chip is the Apple Bionic A11, an upgrade of the A10. For the processor, this is a 2.39 GHz hexa-core 64-bit with 3GB of RAM. The iPhone 8 Plus comes with a 2675mAh Li-ion unremovable battery. With the display, this is a 5.5-inch Retina HD display with LED-backlit IPS LCD, 1920 x 1080 pixel with 401 PPI. All up, the iPhone 8 Plus is 158.3x67.3x7.3mm, weighing 202 grams.
With the cameras, the rear camera is 12 MP with a six-element lens. Like the iPhone 8, the rear camera's specs are quad-LED "True Tone" flash with Slow Sync, autofocus, IR filter, Burst mode, 4K video recording at 24, 30, or 60 fps or 1080p at 30 or 60 fps, slow-motion video (1080p at 120 or 240 fps, timelapse with stabilization, panorama, facial recognition, digital image stabilization and optical image stabilization. The iPhone 8 Plus has the additional benefits of a telephoto lens, 2x optical zoom, 10x digital zoom and an aperture of /f2.8. The front camera is 7 MP with f/2.2 aperture. Sound comes from stereo speakers.

The iPhone 8 comes in black, Space Grey and Gold with two choices of internal memory: 64GB or 256GB.
Accessories
When you get your hands on your new iPhone 8 Plus, there are some accessories to consider. If you want to protect your investment, then find a case. Often this is the first thing people buy for their phones, with good reason.
